Job Description

The Independent Advisor Solutions group has launched five 1940 Act registered funds and continues to expand its investment offerings. A core differentiator is iCapital’s partnerships with leading alternative asset managers and top-tier wealth management platforms. iCapital is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Vice President Investment Product Development professional with deep expertise in semi-liquid structures to support its expansion strategy. This role sits within the Independent Advisor Solutions department, which is responsible for new product development, business development, and independent investment management. This individual will help manage the development of various investment vehicles focused on private markets, especially those targeting the mass high net worth market. This team is at the forefront of iCapital’s innovation in new fund structures and market access solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of new investment products, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to bring high-quality offerings to market.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and support business development and investment product projects and work across the company to ensure on-time and successful completion
  • Work with key internal and external clients, both asset managers and wealth managers, to structure and launch products that support iCapital’s growth initiatives
  • Be a subject matter expert on all aspects of structuring, building, SEC filing and operating a tender offer or interval fund
  • Drive the creation and review of various legal and marketing materials needed to win and bring new products to market
  • Manage workflows related to onboarding new funds or product lines to the iCapital ecosystem and help establish supporting operational and compliance processes
  • Contribute to the evolution of iCapital’s service offerings across multiple fund structures
  • Prepare presentations, memos, and proposals for various new product committees
  • Understand and help develop all aspects of fund operations and business growth, excluding investment decisions and external marketing
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Accounting, Fund Administration, Operations, Investor Relations, Compliance, and Distribution teams to ensure seamless execution across all aspects of the fund

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in financial services (e.g., investment management, project management, private investing, investment banking, transaction advisory services, capital markets, management consulting, etc.)
  • Experience with 1940 Act Funds and private markets
  • Experience structuring and development of tender offer and/or interval funds
  • Proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships with internal teams and external clients
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and persuasive messaging
  • Professional demeanor with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong sense of ownership
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
