Job Description

Head of Trading Operations – Remote with Frequent travel to Europe – Must be immediately available or on a 1 month notice period. Our client are a global crypto trading firm executing more than $5B in daily trading volume. Trading Operations sits at the heart of the business, responsible for round-the-clock trading continuity, accurate settlements, precise P&L, disciplined capital management, and a secure operating environment. This role is for an experienced operator who can scale systems, lead teams, and impose order on fast-moving markets.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing liquidity, margin, collateral, and capital across centralized exchanges, DeFi venues, trading counterparties, custodians, and banking partners
  • Designing resilient, low-error operational processes while driving automation and efficiency
  • Developing a deep understanding of on- and off-exchange trading workflows and requirements
  • Working closely with Trading, Finance, and Risk to validate end-to-end flows and deliver accurate, timely reporting
  • Hiring, mentoring, and leading a globally distributed team providing 24/7 operational coverage
  • Setting KPIs, strengthening controls, and continuously improving speed, accuracy, and reliability

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in Trading Operations, Settlements, or a closely related function
  • A strong track record of process improvement and automation
  • Experience leading international or distributed teams
  • The ability to influence across functions and align stakeholders on change
  • Strong numerical intuition and analytical thinking
  • High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to execution
  • Confidence prioritizing in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
  • A naturally questioning mindset — you challenge assumptions and dig into root causes
  • Clear, effective communication and data-driven decision making
  • Fluency in English
