Job Description

We are looking for an Investment Manager to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio. This position involves overseeing municipal investment portfolios, analyzing financial markets, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in fund administration, municipal bonds, and investment strategies to support sound financial decision-making.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and manage investment strategies tailored to municipal funds, including reserve accounts and bond proceeds
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as municipal investment policies
  • Conduct thorough analyses of financial markets, investment options, and credit risks to provide strategic recommendations
  • Execute trades, record transactions accurately, and reconcile trading activity within the accounting system
  • Prepare detailed investment performance reports for senior leadership and other stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external financial institutions and advisors
  • Recommend updates to investment policies to address changes in market conditions or legal requirements
  • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs
  • Monitor interest rates, economic trends, and market conditions to guide investment decisions
  • Evaluate and oversee external investment managers or advisors when necessary

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fund administration and managing investment portfolios
  • Strong knowledge of municipal bonds and related financial instruments
  • Familiarity with government accounting standards and investment policies
  • Ability to analyze market trends and assess credit risk effectively
  • Proficiency in executing trades and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Excellent communication skills for preparing reports and presenting recommendations
  • Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate with financial institutions and stakeholders
