Job Description

A reputable Morris County, NJ wealth management firm is currently hiring an Investment & Financial Planning Manager to support their Financial Planners with investment research, portfolio oversight, and financial plan creation & modeling.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive research on investment markets and products to identify optimal strategies
  • Manage and analyze investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with client objectives
  • Prepare financial plans and materials for client meetings, addressing complex financial scenarios
  • Collaborate on tax planning strategies
  • Perform insurance need analyses and document existing policies, including life insurance and annuities
  • Compile data and analytics for client discussions
  • Evaluate potential investment and insurance solutions
  • Support tax planning efforts
  • Conduct investment and insurance research
  • Assess model portfolios
  • Support bulk trade execution
  • Navigate tax strategy
  • Analyze annuities, life & disability coverage, long-term care products
  • Review the work of junior staff

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in financial services or wealth management
  • Strong analytical skills especially in Excel
  • Deep knowledge of investments, insurance, and tax
  • CFP, CFA, or CPA certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field required
  • Proficiency with financial planning software mandatory
  • Effective communication, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail necessary
