Job Description:

The role of an Associate in Citi’s UK Investment Banking team is to assist senior bankers with origination and execution efforts in the UK across Citi’s product set, with a particular focus on M&A. The team provides UK advisory expertise and originates strategic transactions across all sectors, advising corporate and financial sponsor clients on buy-side and sell-side M&A, capital raisings, takeover defense, and other strategic advice.

Job Responsibility:

  • Evaluate public filings, research reports and company business plans to produce company valuation and combination models and financial analysis
  • Work collaboratively with product and sector teams, to execute upon Citi’s M&A and capital raising mandates in the UK
  • Assist in the preparation of bespoke client presentations
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the key dynamics and regulatory frameworks in the UK market

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
