Job Description:

Investment Analyst/Associate sought by market leading Independent Power Producer. The Investment & Financing desk will be responsible for taking major pipeline projects (~£5bn) to FID over the next 2-3 years, maximising risk adjusted returns, executing large scale debt financing transactions and targeting international expansion. Already operating one of Europe’s largest Battery Energy storage portfolios, their >17GW + development pipeline consist of Batteries, Fast-Response Peaking Plants, Pumped Storage Hydro, and Green Hydrogen.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support initial investment review and screening of prospective investment opportunities
  • Building, maintaining and analysing detailed financial and valuation models
  • Preparation of regular memos, slide decks and transaction materials for board approval
  • Monitoring and reporting on the portfolio/pipeline
  • Forming of strong internal relationships across the business, including development, project delivery, asset management and finance teams with some exposure to senior management
  • Proactively analyse the financial impact of individual project risk, regulatory changes, and the economic environment on the group’s portfolio. Working closely with Project Directors and Policy teams to drive enhanced equity returns
  • Working on debt funding for the pipeline of projects (liaising with lenders, reviewing bank models, coordinating due diligence and transaction execution)

Requirements:

  • At least 2-5 years’ experience gained in an investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a comparable environment
  • Experience working in a dynamic, transaction based environment
  • Commercial exposure to the Renewable / Infrastructure sector would be useful
  • Strong quantitative, analytical skills, financial modelling, excel, and power point capabilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Outstanding academic record with a degree in a relevant discipline

  • Daily ensure that all global COAC events are correctly processed in BlackRock's Aladdin system and reconciled with our custodian records
  • Investigate reconciliation discrepancies daily, ensuring all issues are promptly resolved and cleared
  • Ensure the appropriate restriction status of entitlements is maintained in BlackRock applications throughout the entire COAC lifecycle
  • Manage any queries received from various internal and external parties
