Job Description

Join us as an Investment Advisor within our Private Bank and Wealth Management team. The Investment Advisor (IA) will partner with Corporate & Investment Bank and Private Bankers, as an investment specialist with deep understanding of our investment proposition, focusing on direct interactions with Corporate and Institutional clients. It is to represent the investment proposition, position the proposition in a relevant and impactful approach and solution for the client and drive investment assets and revenues.

Job Responsibility

  • Understand the client situation, objectives, decision making process, and competition to position Barclays investment capability
  • Use judgement to design and pitch the right investment solution
  • Provide advice on individual solutions and devise trading / investment ideas for clients
  • Review investment portfolios regularly and propose relevant changes
  • Provide regular market updates on all major asset classes and financial indicators
  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues
  • Understanding of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks
  • Response to customer inquiries, attend client meetings
  • Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers
  • Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials
  • Participation in training sessions and workshops
  • Participation in events, conferences, and other networking opportunities

Requirements

  • Significant experience as an IA with respective client segments
  • Experience and success in marketing investments to institutional clients
  • Level 4 UK RDR qualification (or equivalent) to give regulated client advice
  • Goal-orientated with capability to think independently and solve complicated problems
  • Good communication skills in order to deal with a variety of stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Level 6 CISI/ FCA or equivalent
  • CFA is an advantage to this role
