Job Description:

The Manager of Inventory Quality and Control is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management and quality assurance within the distribution center, driving performance and compliance across operational areas, and leading a team to improve inventory accuracy, safety, and efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline inventory management processes and enhance efficiency
  • implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize inventory accuracy and minimize 8 wastes
  • drive initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory metrics
  • strategically manage slotting activities and projects aligned to the continuous improvement roadmap
  • develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate inventory levels
  • establish and enforce quality standards for incoming and outgoing products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • lead and mentor a team of inventory control and quality assurance associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control, quality management, asset protection, or related roles, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment
  • experience in inventory management principles, quality assurance standards, investigations, and regulatory requirements
  • leadership experience
  • proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications

Nice to have:

  • APICS CPIM or CLTD certified
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified
  • PMP certified
  • understanding of Government Regulatory expectations (OSHA, DEP, FDA)
  • LP Qualified (LPQ) or LP Certified (LPC) certifications preferred
  • strong understanding of inventory management principles, quality assurance standards, investigations, and regulatory requirements
  • proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and drive results
  • excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
