Come and join us as an Inventory Manager at Filton Abbey Wood. In this role, you will provide specialist inventory and supply chain management expertise for Airborne Equipment (AE). The role ensures operational capability through robust stock assurance, compliance, and strategic support to Front Line Commands and MOD contractors. This role is fast-paced and vast in its duties, offering development & leadership opportunities and does include Task Management responsibilities.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for ensuring Item Data Records are created and maintained on the MoD Logistic Information Systems for agreed ranges of equipment, to enable optimised Supply Chain activities, through life
Responsible for ensuring Inventory Demand and Supply Plans are developed and executed for agreed ranges of equipment, within an agreed Financial Delegation limit, that optimises Inventory levels for all support arrangements, using centrally approved Inventory analysis tools
Responsible for ensuring all MoD owned inventory, within agreed ranges, are materiel and financially accounted for in accordance with Inventory Material & Financial Accounting Policy and Procedures to enable optimised Inventory, Financial and Operational Planning for all stakeholders
Assist support solution development by detailing the mandated Supply Chain requirements, including Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), to all professions, throughout the CADMID (Concept, Assessment, Demonstration, Manufacture, In-Service and Disposal) cycle(s)
Assist by providing support to the tender preparation and evaluation for new support arrangements
Ensure vetting activities of proposed Initial Provisioning List to identify and remove from scope any lines of equipment already within the Defence Inventory
Requirements:
Experience of stakeholder engagement
Experience in delivering customer service
Experience in handling, interpreting and reporting on data
Experience in managing others
Experience working within a Supply Chain environment
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Government Furnished Equipment, Item Codification, and Internal Business Agreements
Knowledge of forward/reverse supply chain processes and procedures
