Job Description

The Vault Manager at Bud's Goods & Services Lakeville facility is responsible for overseeing and controlling the bulk cannabis products, raw goods, and packaged goods inventory that flow in and out of the facility. This role manages the compliant receipt, storage, auditing, and movement of cannabis inventory on the premises. This role is responsible for managing adjustments to the cannabis package tags in addition to overseeing waste and disposal procedures. The Vault Manager prepares bulk cannabis for sorting and quality control and creates Metrc items and tags as necessary to track each grade of the sorted cannabis flower. The Vault Manager prepares the quality-controlled flower and cannabis products for the packaging work orders, which includes verifying weight. The Vault Manager supplies the Metrc tags to the packaging department for the work orders. The Vault Manager tracks and records any weight changes to the bulk cannabis flower or cannabis products which includes processing loss, waste material, moisture changes, and quality grade changes such as collected shake. The Vault Manager also oversees the inventory received from licensed cannabis vendors to fulfill Bud's Goods' retail stores. This includes organized storage, tracking of the inventory, and preparation of cases and Metrc tags as needed to fulfill the needs of our stores. The Vault Manager is responsible for the safety of the vault and receiving areas. This role maintains high expectations for cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of these areas. The Vault Manager is responsible for regular audits of cannabis, raw goods, and packaged products. This role reports to the Plant Manager. This role is full-time Monday-Friday in Lakeville, MA.

Job Responsibility

  • Receive all cannabis deliveries, intake into the inventory tracking software, and store manifests per regulation and company policy
  • Prepare outgoing manifests for cannabis products and store all manifests per regulation and company policy
  • Prepare bulk cannabis, pre-rolls and concentrates to supply the packaging department work orders including the Metrc tags to be used in the work orders
  • Prepare cannabis for the sorting and grading processes including the preparation and assignment of Metrc tags and containers for the sorted flower
  • Manage the packaged goods inventory received from other cannabis vendors for fulfillment to Bud's Goods retails and other licensed locations
  • Keep organized all cannabis products in the vault and know exactly where every item and Metrc tag is located at all times
  • Keep the vault organized in the manner which supports the systems that follow bulk cannabis products to their final packages and ready for shipment
  • Manage the waste procedures in the facility including the proper storage of waste records and wasted material
  • Perform inventory adjustments as they relate to processing loss, moisture weight variances, waste, quality grade change, and breakage
  • Provide real time reporting of inventory levels for bulk cannabis, packaged cannabis cases, and cannabis inventory in process
  • Perform routine audits to confirm all inventory is present including a full exhaustive monthly inventory audit
  • Properly maintain and store inventory specific records including Metrc manifests, COA's, inventory audits, and waste records
  • Confirm proper storage conditions of the vault and confirm all climate control systems are functioning properly
  • Coordinate and communicate frequently with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that all product and raw packaging materials are meeting the highest quality standards possible
  • Ensure all safety procedures and expectations are being followed in the vault as well as in the receiving area
  • Manage and keep current the standard operating procedures of inventory control with guidance from the Plant Manager
  • Ensure quarantined cannabis products are stored properly as dictated by the Cannabis Control Commission
  • Keep the Plant Manager current on records and activities in the vault and with shipping/receiving
  • Represent the vault and inventory during inspections by regulatory agencies or Bud's Goods senior management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related field experience
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • 2+ years of inventory or manufacturing experience, preferably with 1+ years in cannabis industry
  • Proven track record of managing the scope of operations in a complex and highly regulated business environment
  • Must have a solid understanding of the cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further understanding and knowledge of the industry, regulations, market trends and competition
  • Strong working knowledge of Metrc
  • Competency in Microsoft applications
  • Strong math and reading comprehension
