Job Description:

Reputable, services company seeks an Inventory Controller with demonstrated history of process improvement and creating efficiencies. In this role, the Inventory Controller will monitor and evaluate inventories, oversee the month end closing process, assist with budgeting and forecasting, prepare monthly journal entries, maintain internal controls, analyze cost variances, and manage the cost auditing process. This candidate will ensure department goals are met, cost is reduced and overall improvement of profitability.

Job Responsibility:

Collect and analyze operational cost data
Maintain cost accounting procedures
Analyze production cost
Set standard costs of goods
Administer cost accounting principles
Prepare production reports
Assist with month-end cost accounting close
Prepare estimates of costs
Coordinate with operations on forecasting
Resolve cost inaccuracies
Monitor and evaluate inventories
Oversee the month end closing process
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Prepare monthly journal entries
Maintain internal controls
Analyze cost variances
Manage the cost auditing process
Ensure department goals are met, cost is reduced and overall improvement of profitability

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
7+ years of strong standard cost accounting experience
Strong knowledge of inventory movements & transactions
Any ERP experience, Microsoft Dynamics 365 strongly preferred
US GAAP knowledge
Supervisory experience a plus
