The Inventory Controller is responsible for managing the accuracy of inventory within the warehouse ensuring that the inventory stated in the ERP system reflects the product, batch code and location at any point in time. This role involves monitoring warehouse transactions done correctly and in a timely manner, managing the cycle count plan, and collaborating with warehouse and supply planners to meet Inventory Accuracy and DIFOT performance targets and reduce stock discrepancies.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor inventory transfers between locations, warehouses, or departments
Daily monitoring of receipts (PO’s and ASN’s)
Coordinate with inbound teams to ensure timely and accurate receipt of inventory
Perform regular stock counts (cycle counts and full physical inventories) and reconcile variances
Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Monitor and manage MLOR ensuring correct stock is picked as per customer requirements
Manage Action Stock
Control container movements into site through booking with carrier and communicate to operations
Book container unloaders as per container schedule
Prepare inventory reports and KPIs for management review
Assist in the implementation and improvement of inventory control procedures and systems
Ensure inventory practices comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with auditors during internal and external inventory audits
Requirements:
Practical experience in a warehousing & logistics environment
Good understanding of ERP, WMS TMS systems concepts and workings
