Employees primarily work in the warehouse and can be exposed to loud noise levels, vibration, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles. May be exposed to cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, hazardous physical substances, and fumes. Employees may interact with staff and public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Overseeing the inventory control system for the warehouse, ensuring accurate tracking, and reporting of inventory levels
Supervising a team of inventory clerks or associates, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
Manage employee attendance and job performance
Ensure employees are adhering to AvAir policies and procedures
Project managing shipments to meet deadlines
Monitor all Cycle count programs and ensure consistency and accuracy
Analyzing inventory data and generating reports to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
Implementing and enforcing inventory control procedures, including receiving, inspection, storage
Monitoring and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data in the warehouse management system (WMS)
Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards for handling and storing inventory, including hazardous materials, if applicable
Providing training and guidance on inventory management best practices to warehouse staff
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory management
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Physical demands: mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory
strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work
vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio
finger dexterity to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, calculator or scanner
ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb
ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 30 pounds and heavier weights with proper team lift or equipment
Education & Experience: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth (12th) grade
one (1) year of experience in warehousing using automated inventory procedures
Personal characteristics: maintain a positive attitude, willingness to learn, ability to be punctual daily
Licenses: Possession of or ability to obtain a Forklift Operator’s Certificate by the end of probationary period
