Job Responsibility

  • Validate that all inventory related transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, scrap, returns) are accurately recorded in Parity (inventory system) by the Operations team daily
  • Post Inventory transactions in Great Plains (accounting system)
  • Reconcile inventory between GP and Parity
  • Reconcile outside warehouse inventory to GP
  • Process inventory transactions for sales from outside warehouses to move finished goods from PB to PFFI within GP to support sales order fulfillment
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to inventory quantities, units of measure, and transaction timing
  • Validate monthly transactions in financial reporting systems
  • Review transactions entered by operations, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies
  • Identify incorrect or missing transactions and follow up with responsible teams to correct them
  • Monitor open POs, unmatched receipts, and unposted transactions to ensure timely resolution
  • Validate BOM accuracy, production reporting, and WIP movements as needed
  • Track recurring errors or process gaps and escalate systemic issues to management
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to correct root causes of inventory inaccuracies
  • Support cycle count and physical inventory processes by validating results and ensuring proper adjustments are recorded
  • Maintain documentation of reconciliation procedures and transaction workflows
  • Maintain standardized reports and dashboards for monitoring inventory accuracy

Requirements

  • Bachelors is a must
  • Needs to be a thinker, who is willing to be trained
  • Heavy reconciliations of data between different systems and resolving discrepancies with operating and accounting teams (standard month end, journal entries, etc)
  • 1+ years experience would be ideal, open to college grad at lower comp
  • Communicating issues to leadership and operations (corporate and onsite) and begin able to identify them
  • will need to be meticulous and detail oriented
  • great communicator to leadership at the plant onsite with them

  • Conduct thorough cycle counts and physical audits of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to ensure system integrity
  • Validate WIP locations and monitor high-priority areas and items to maintain variances within acceptable limits
  • Lead preparation and execution for annual physical inventories, including inventory control document management and reconciliation activities
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, negative balances, and shortages using transaction histories, PO verifications, component variance reports and other supporting documents
  • Identify and correct discrepancies related to production errors, scanning mistakes, shipping/receiving variances, or incorrect substitutions
  • Expertly navigate ERP system, RF scanners, and MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel) to manage and communicate inventory status changes, transfers, and to resolve system inaccuracies
  • Review and interpret complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) to identify inaccuracies, decipher multi-level items, and execute necessary system corrections
  • Process and reconcile production documentation to ensure accurate movement of materials from raw components to finished goods
  • Effectively communicate inventory issues and resolutions to supervisors and production teams
