The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate, reliable, and show-ready exhibit inventory within the warehouse. This role ensures inventory is properly received, tracked, stored, and available to support outbound exhibit orders and inbound returns. Working closely with Warehouse Administration, Outbound, and Inbound Managers, the Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role in order readiness, asset utilization, and workload planning across warehouse operations.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate inventory records for all exhibit assets, components, crates, and hardware
Ensure inventory is correctly labeled, stored in assigned locations, and systemically updated in the WMS/ERP
Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits to identify and resolve discrepancies
Investigate inventory variances, shortages, damages, or location errors and implement corrective actions
Coordinate with Inbound teams to ensure returned exhibits are properly received, inspected, and checked back into inventory
Validate inventory availability prior to outbound order release to confirm assets are show-ready and shippable
Flag inventory risks that may impact project timelines or order fulfillment
Partner with Warehouse Administrative Clerks and Outbound Managers to ensure exhibit orders are fully supported by available inventory
Verify that kits, configurations, and special components are complete and ready for fulfillment
Assist with resolving last-minute inventory conflicts or substitutions when needed
Provide inventory visibility to support scheduling and labor planning decisions
Identify slow-moving, high-use, or constrained inventory to improve utilization and flow
Support managers with data related to inventory capacity, availability, and upcoming demand
Accurately enter and maintain data in inventory management and warehouse systems
Maintain documentation related to inventory movement, adjustments, damages, and reclassifications
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics (exhibit/trade show experience preferred)
Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse processes
Experience using WMS or ERP systems
Excel proficiency required
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with warehouse teams and leadership
Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
