The Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in controlling accuracy as it relates to A&K Crust and Pep’s Pizza Company. This individual will specialize in creating and maintaining processes to ensure accountability on the side of Warehouse, Production, and Quality departments. Frequent internal audits will be performed monthly of all Facilities, including A&K Crust and Pep’s Pizza Company locations. This individual will coordinate with these departments and facilities to ensure a cohesive and collaborative environment of accuracy and accountability.
Job Responsibility:
Cycle Count all Raw Material and Finished Goods within all A&K and Pep’s Pizza Company facilities monthly
Coordinate with Warehouse and Production Leadership all discrepancies and adjustments
Distill and investigate data to find causation
Develop and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) regarding Cycle Counting processes and improvements
Ensure compliance with inventory counts to audit standards
Assist with all audit activities
Ensure proper communication and compilation of data points as it refers to inventory inaccuracies
Work comprehensively with departments to investigate and isolate the cause of the inaccuracies
Running inventory reports, and presenting said reports, analytically, to members of upper management upon request
Analyze data points and create solutions to further inventory accuracy and reduce adjustments made
Collaborate closely with warehouse and data teams to improve cycle count and storage practices
Coordinate inventory movements between plants and forecast production needs
Verify and reconcile shipping and receiving errors as it relates to accuracy
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, service quality, and cost reduction
Track pallet movements for the length of the supply chain within all facilities
Serve as the primary contact for inaccuracies and errors as it relates to consumption, shipping, and receiving
Communicate professionally, courteously, and effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners
Utilize proper communication skills to convey information properly, efficiently, and effectively
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and communication logs to prevent chargebacks or compliance issues
Requirements:
At least 2 consecutive years of experience in warehousing, food production and manufacturing environments
At least 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, cycle counting, and staffing coordination
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Inventory Systems experience, as well as experience in ERP or WMS systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Professional communicator who is assertive, polite, and efficient when investigating sensitive topics such as waste, fraud, and inefficiencies in processes
Demonstrated ability to solve problems, prioritize, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and data analysis tools
Ability to use systems interconnectedly, while taking initiative to create processes of efficiency and effectiveness
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused with a strong sense of urgency
Basic mathematical aptitude and confidence in computational problem-solving
Team player with initiative and a willingness to assist across departments and take ownership of new challenges as they arise
