The Inventory Control/Shipper-Receiver will be responsible for properly storing, managing, and delivering incoming products, raw material, finished goods and equipment for Seurat programs and ensuring all policies and procedures are followed for quality and accuracy. The role will also be responsible for managing the existing inventory system but will also play and lead role in setting up an inventory system with the start of the new ERP system.
Job Responsibility:
Perform receiving functions and maintain the current daily receipt report and distribution
Package, label and arrange transportation (including documentation) of outgoing shipments, both domestic and international
Update and maintain the inventory system, ensuring that stock levels and physical locations are properly documented
Act as primary interface for current & future floor stock programs (Clean Room garment program, Hardware, small tooling)
Transport material between Seurat and local vendor locations
Prepare kitting packages for assembly production, complete electronic routings and deliver hardware to appropriate locations
Complete regular physical inventory counts as required by company policy and meet established accuracy goals
Handle incoming exotic materials and mechanical assemblies with a heightened sensitivity to quality
Communicate across departments and resolve issues in a timely manner including close interaction with Seurat Engineers, Seurat Finance and Seurat Management
Support other teams as needed
Requirements:
Capability to demonstrate good judgement and problem-solving skills, while operating with limited supervision
Must have high integrity, punctuality, and professionalism
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with engineers, technicians, finance, management, and directors
Self-starter attitude and willingness to work in a startup environment
Ability to learn software programs as required
3-5 years’ experience with shipping receiving responsibilities
Prior experience with ERP
Experience working with global logistics companies highly desired to include international
Valid driver’s license and previous experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks and commercial vehicles
Nice to have:
Prior experience in a startup environment a plus
Certifications for International Cargo and Logistics functions, including ITAR/EAR Training, Customs Specialist or Export Specialist
