We are looking for an Inventory Control Coordinator to support supply operations in Palo Alto, California. This Contract position focuses on maintaining accurate inventory records, analyzing stock data, and helping improve supply location performance through consistent processes and staff support. The ideal candidate brings strong inventory control experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Job Responsibility
Oversee inventory records within Lawson by updating item and location data regularly and verifying ongoing accuracy across supply points
Analyze usage trends, stock levels, and inventory movement to recommend appropriate par levels, item placement, and removal of underutilized stock
Create and document standardized procedures for inventory workflows and system-related tasks to support consistent daily operations
Train frontline team members on handheld devices and approved system functions based on role-specific access and operational needs
Support the setup of new supply locations by confirming correct system configuration and inventory alignment
Develop recurring reports on inventory performance, location utilization, counts, and key metrics for daily, weekly, and monthly review
Conduct and audit cycle count activities, investigate discrepancies, and contribute to root cause analysis for inventory variances
Monitor inventory issues through resolution while promoting cost control, operational efficiency, and best practices across supply areas
Complete required documentation, maintain clean and organized work areas, and follow all safety, infection prevention, and emergency response expectations.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 3 years of experience in inventory control or inventory management
Working knowledge of inventory practices, stock control methods, and related operational systems
Proficiency with data entry and computer applications used to maintain, access, and analyze inventory information
Strong verbal and written communication skills in a customer-focused work setting
Ability to prepare reports, review data accurately, and support audits and process compliance
Capable of maintaining a detail-oriented, organized workspace and collaborating effectively with diverse teams
Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, apply sound judgment, and solve operational problems efficiently.
