Job Responsibility:
Conduct physical inventories
Research locator problems
Adjust book inventory with approval of Inventory Control Supervisor
Be responsible for assigned production locations
Sort daily reports and distribute to appropriate Inventory personnel
Audit daily all of the previous day’s purchase orders
Check Item Backup Report for credits
Take other physical inventories as requested by Management, Buyers, Accounting, Merchandise Billing, or Production
Perform scanning functions when required
Conduct Cycle Counts as required
Review merchandise with expiration date, date code, or lot control number
Operate fork trucks, order pickers, or other mobile-powered equipment when required
Review new items reports daily to identify items to be slotted
Review each day’s receipts and new items staging area
Weigh and measure all new items received
Allocate a home and pick location for each regular new item
Cut cartons, determine proper stock prep code, complete dimensions and fill assigned location
Keypunch new or replanographed locations into WMS
Monitor merchandise velocity reports
Remove discontinued merchandise
Complete a Daily Activity Worksheet
Maintain neat and accurate files of all slotting activity
Process mark outs and conduct research
Process and complete MCRs
Requirements:
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact on a professional level with all support areas (internal and external)
Ability to read, write and count accurately
Ability to operate and be certified as an operator of fork trucks and other powered mobile equipment (to height of 50 feet)
Detail oriented with above average math aptitude
Ability to operate WMS CRT, calculator and other office equipment
Normal eyesight (natural or corrected)
Physical Demands: Frequent - Medium lifting requirement (up to 60 lbs), Constant bending/reaching/stooping (67-100%), occasional walking/standing/climbing (0-33%)
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in Inventory Control procedures
