We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and maintaining inventory records, ensuring accurate tracking of samples, and supporting the distribution process. This position requires someone who is proactive and capable of working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibility:
Label carpet swatches and sample books for clients and sales representatives
Track incoming and outgoing carpet and tile samples to maintain accurate inventory records
Organize and manage the distribution of inventory to other stores and clients
Maintain detailed records of samples sent to other locations, ensuring inventory accountability
Monitor inventory levels and proactively order additional stock as needed
Coordinate with sales teams and clients to ensure timely delivery of requested samples
Work autonomously in a designated workspace to complete inventory-related tasks efficiently
Support the overall inventory management process by keeping data up-to-date and reliable
Requirements:
Proven experience in inventory tracking and management
Familiarity with asset inventory systems and procedures
Ability to conduct annual physical inventory checks
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proactive approach to managing inventory levels and resolving discrepancies
Capability to work independently and handle tasks with minimal supervision
Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Nice to have:
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
