We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to support inventory accuracy and material flow for a manufacturing operation in Longmont, Colorado. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity suited for someone who can keep records current, coordinate product movement, and help maintain consistent stock availability across daily operations. The role will work closely with shipping, receiving, and production teams to ensure inventory processes remain organized, timely, and reliable.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate stock records by reviewing inventory activity and updating counts to reflect daily transactions
Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory reviews to verify on-hand quantities
Record incoming and outgoing materials related to receiving, storage, and shipment activity
Review packing slips and purchase orders to confirm documentation is complete and aligned with inventory records
Support vendor-managed inventory programs to help keep essential materials available at appropriate levels
Prepare shipment paperwork and help coordinate outbound product movement in a timely manner
Partner with warehouse, production, and operations personnel to keep inventory workflows running smoothly
Investigate quantity mismatches and resolve inventory variances through careful research and follow-up
Maintain organized transaction files and detailed inventory documentation for reporting and audit purposes
Help supply production and assembly teams with needed materials to avoid disruptions in workflow
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in inventory control, stockroom support, or a related inventory position
Background working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment
Working knowledge of inventory tracking, cycle counting, and physical inventory procedures
Experience supporting shipping and receiving activities, including preparation of shipping documents
Ability to process and verify packing slips, purchase orders, and related inventory records accurately
Familiarity with vendor-managed inventory practices and material replenishment processes
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records
