We are looking for an organized Inventory Clerk to support materials control operations in Thousand Palam, California. This Long-term Contract position is responsible for keeping parts, tools, equipment, and supply inventory accurate, accessible, and ready to support fleet and facility maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with inventory systems, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and maintaining a dependable flow of materials in a warehouse environment.
Job Responsibility
Maintain appropriate stock levels for parts, tools, and maintenance supplies to support ongoing operational needs
Receive incoming shipments, compare items against purchase records, and confirm accuracy in quantity, condition, and specifications
Inspect delivered materials for quality and correctness, then arrange proper storage and bin replenishment within the warehouse
Process returns or discrepancies involving damaged, incorrect, or nonconforming items with suppliers as needed
Update inventory records in the automated tracking system to ensure accurate counts and item availability
Coordinate bus parts warranty matters by working with maintenance personnel and external vendors to resolve claims efficiently
Assist with loading and unloading materials and move stock safely to assigned storage locations
Support regular physical inventory counts and help maintain reliable asset and annual inventory records
Collaborate professionally with coworkers, customers, and suppliers while completing assigned tasks within established timelines
Requirements
Handle inventory control, stockroom operations, or warehouse support in a maintenance, parts, or similar environment
Working knowledge of inventory tracking practices, including receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle or annual counts
Ability to use an automated inventory management system to maintain accurate records and item data
Familiarity with inspecting materials and verifying part numbers, model information, and purchase documentation
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify shortages, discrepancies, and damaged goods
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors regarding orders, deliveries, and warranty issues
Capability to work independently or under supervision while meeting deadlines and supporting team operations
