We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team at a school spirit store in Miami Gardens, Florida. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing inventory, supporting daily store operations, and providing excellent customer service. This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility to work occasional evenings or Saturdays based on school events.
Job Responsibility:
Maintain accurate records of inventory, including apparel and merchandise
Provide friendly and efficient customer service while assisting with sales
Handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly and securely
Collaborate with the on-site supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations of the store
Organize and restock inventory to keep the store well-stocked and orderly
Assist in preparing for school events that may require adjustments to the store schedule
Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies promptly
Support annual physical inventory processes and tracking
Utilize inventory tracking systems to manage store assets effectively
Requirements:
Previous experience in retail or customer service roles
Proficiency in handling cash and processing credit card payments
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with inventory tracking systems and processes
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to schedule changes
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
