We're seeking an Inventory Accountant to take ownership of inventory accounting, reconciliation and valuation across the business, helping ensure one of our largest assets remains accurate, explainable and audit-ready.

Job Responsibility

  • Own inventory sub-ledger and GL reconciliations
  • Prepare inventory journals, stock adjustments and valuation entries
  • Reconcile inventory across ERP, warehouse and store systems
  • Investigate inventory variances, interface failures and posting issues
  • Support stocktake reviews and adjustment approvals
  • Manage inventory valuation, costing and margin integrity
  • Partner with auditors and maintain audit-ready controls
  • Drive process improvement and automation opportunities

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CA/CPA qualified or near completion
  • Strong inventory accounting experience in retail, wholesale or distribution
  • ERP and inventory sub-ledger experience
  • Advanced Excel and analytical capability
  • Strong stakeholder management across Finance, Operations and IT
