Job Description:

To provide and coordinate high quality patient care in all areas of the Heart and Vascular Center upon the order of a licensed physician and in accordance with the mission and philosophy of CHI St. Alexius Health.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide and coordinate high quality patient care in all areas of the Heart and Vascular Center
  • Manage routine use and quality control requirements of angiography equipment
  • Adhere to established radiation safety protocols
  • Assess patient relative to requested procedure
  • Prepare past imaging of patient for physicians
  • Assist in transferring patients
  • Assist in patient education
  • Prepare the patient for the procedure
  • Manage the imaging equipment
  • Manage and assist the physician with specialized equipment
  • Facilitate the delivery of completed exams for physician interpretation
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies
  • Utilize CPT coding for all procedures
  • Assist in maintaining room supplies
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and St. Alexius Medical Center policies
  • Complete job specific competencies
  • Take action to achieve personal goals from performance appraisal
  • Assist with establishing and implementing department goals
  • Attend Heart and Vascular Department meetings
  • Maintain work attendance according to policy
  • Assist in meeting Core Measure and Quality Control thresholds

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a School of Radiologic Technology
  • Member of the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Board of Examiners
  • Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist
  • Preferred 1 year experience as a Radiological Technologist
  • Working knowledge of skills obtained in approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Ability to work independently to perform standard and complex procedures under minimal direction
