Job Description:

To provide proficient technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, physiologic patient monitoring and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Is a patient/family educator, advocate and liaison. Estimated pay range for this position is $36.16 - $50.62 / hour depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
  • Basic Life Support
  • Cardiovascular or Cardiopulmonary Technologist (CVT) from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or a graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate academic program in health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing).
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proof of RCIS or RCES exam eligibility required.
  • Completes a minimum of 12 CEU's annually (10 CEU's must be CV related).
  • Minimum Required Experience: 1 Year

  • Assist in transporting patients to nursing units
  • Attends to patient needs during cardiac lab procedures
  • Circulates during procedure, as applicable
  • Obtains and records hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating - hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment
