Job Responsibility:

  • Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice
  • Prepares equipment and supplies including sterile trays
  • Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary
  • Demonstrate the ability to cover call by performing all functions required after hours
  • Assists with clerical and non-technical duties necessary to department operations, such as documenting procedures into department/hospital information systems, as per departmental policy, recording billing, editing and statistical information in radiology information system, (post-processing and archiving of images to PACS), maintaining and cleaning patient care equipment per infection control standards and evaluating inventory levels, to ensure par level of stock, suitable for the needs of division
  • Assists physician with performing diagnostic and vascular interventional procedures (utilizing surgical sterile technique)
  • Reviews results and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues

  • Accredited Program: Radiology (Required)
  • ACLS Certification_non ecard (ACLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • ARRT_American Registry of Radiology Tech (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
  • PALS American Heart_non ecard (PALS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • Minimum one (1) year experience required

Nice to have:

  • ACLS Certification (ACLS) within 6 months is preferred for most locations
  • Must have ACLS Certification (ACLS) within 6 months for Memorial Regional Hospital
  • Must have ACLS Certification (ACLS) and PALS Certification (PALS) within 6 months for Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital specific
