Job Responsibility

Help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting
Independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet
Demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures
Utilize good radiation safety practices
Make a positive impact on internal and external customers
Fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging
Understand the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis

Maintains patient safety through attention to detail, equipment safety checks, adherence to department policies, and with effective communication with physicians, staff and patients
Provides patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test
Performs complete diagnostic imaging exams inclusive of positioning patient, calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings
Assists patients with basic patient care needs
Provides emergency care, notifying appropriate personnel and ensures that patient safety is maintained
Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director
Obtains and documents patient history
Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards
