Job Description

As an Interventional Technologist, you will prepare and assist physicians during complex interventional procedures, ensuring optimal imaging and patient safety.Every day you will ready the procedure room, operate advanced imaging equipment, monitor patient vitals, and assist with instruments while maintaining sterile fields.To be successful, you will demonstrate expert knowledge of interventional principles, meticulous attention to detail, and collaborative skills in a high-pressure environment, crucial for successful patient outcomes.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and assist physicians during complex interventional procedures, ensuring optimal imaging and patient safety
  • Ready the procedure room, operate advanced imaging equipment, monitor patient vitals, and assist with instruments while maintaining sterile fields
  • Responsible for the operation of c-arm radiation equipment, provides radiation protection, and demonstrates competency for all procedural applications
  • Prepares sterile fields without error or violation of integrity of aseptic technique, functions as scrub assist and hemodynamic monitor
  • Knowledgeable regarding prep and use of all current devices in Cath Lab/IR/Endovascular inventory
  • Demonstrates rapid decision making, critical thinking, and clinical leadership skills, acts as a preceptor
  • Provides patient/family education related to procedure and cardiovascular disease risk factors
  • Assists nursing staff in all aspects of patient care

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology, upon hire
