Baptist Health is currently looking to add an Interventional Radiologic (IR) Technologist to our Special Procedures Department at the Baptist Beaches location. This is a PRN, various shifts offered opportunity. At Baptist, our IR Technologists are highly trained radiologic technologists who work closely with interventional radiologists. The role of our IR techs is critical in performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures by ensuring the imaging equipment, patient positioning, sterile field, and technical support are all properly managed.
Job Responsibility:
Operates imaging equipment and performs high-quality radiographic images (including fluoroscopy)
Functions as a member of a team performing interventional procedures
Maintains sterile techniques and assists with passing wires, catheters, & other tools
Preparing contrast media and injectors
Monitoring vital signs and documenting procedural notes and materials used
Promotes goodwill among co-workers and other departments, and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients
Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements
Identifies, prepares, administers, and documents medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy
