Job Description:

What You Will Do: To ensure safe and efficient operations of the department. Demonstrates successful patient/technical skills by producing a variety of procedures while maintaining the high standards of patient care. Maintains Registry and continuing education requirements of staff if applicable. Preserves support for the learning environment of the hospital and the department of diagnostic imaging. Contributes to the successful operations of the department through effective communication, coordination and leadership. Collaborates effectively with co-workers within the department and throughout the institution to ensure that assignments are completed in a professional and effective manner. Displays a commitment to the hospital’s mission and values. Provides age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics. Coordinates all ACR/ODH duties to ensure yearly inspections and constant compliance with ACR/ODH standards. Expert in all areas of ACR/ODH standards, QC testing, procedures and required written documentation, as required for the area of expertise. Images patients in their area (s) of credentialing/licensure. Education of staff and physicians in equipment operations.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree (Required)
  • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology (Required)
  • 5+ years experience in the area of expertise (Preferred)
  • Clear knowledge of Angiographic equipment, image printers, computers, and Radiology Information System, PACS, and Electronic Medical Record
  • Excellent knowledge of image and exam protocols. Proficiencies for instructing students and new staff.
  • Proficiency in providing physician support for interventional procedures.
  • Must demonstrate effective organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to act as a lead when supervisor is unavailable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedure coding
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire (Required)
  • Registered (RT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required)
  • Certified Vascular Technologist Registry or Equivalent (CVT) (Required)
