Job Description:

Interventional Radiology Nurses are vital members of the Radiology team, providing patient care during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. The IR Nurse provides critical nursing care to the patient while assisting the Interventional Radiologist, Vascular Surgeon, and Endovascular Neurosurgeon in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing patient care during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
  • Providing critical nursing care to the patient while assisting the Interventional Radiologist, Vascular Surgeon, and Endovascular Neurosurgeon in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Leveraging expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans
  • Collaborating seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing from accredited nursing program or Associates Degree in Nursing required
  • Active Registered Nurse Licensure in Arkansas or eNLC licensure with multistate privileges in good standing with the Arkansas Board of Nursing. License must be unencumbered
  • 6 months of nursing experience required (New graduates would need to complete a residency program before consideration for this unit)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS within 30 days

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Previous nursing experience in Interventional Radiology, Critical Care or Emergency Department
