Job Responsibility

Provide comprehensive consultant-led Interventional Radiology services (elective and emergency)
Perform a broad range of procedures, including: Vascular (angioplasty, embolisation, aneurysm management), Hepatobiliary interventions, Genitourinary procedures (nephrostomy, ureteric stenting, embolisation), Gastrointestinal interventions, Image-guided biopsies and drainages
Take continuing responsibility for patient care, including associated administrative duties
Ensure adherence to clinical quality standards and evidence-based practice
Liaise effectively with clinicians, GPs, and multidisciplinary teams
Lead the development and expansion of IR services
Establish new procedural pathways (PAE, thrombectomy, venous stenting)
Support recruitment and development of IR services
Contribute to imaging service development across the department
Participate in AAU radiology rota (weekday commitment may apply)
