The Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist is responsible for obtaining quality invasive diagnostic data during all studies performed in the cardiac catheterization laboratory on inpatients and outpatients ranging from adult to geriatric age.
Job Responsibility:
Obtaining quality invasive diagnostic data during all studies performed in the cardiac catheterization laboratory on inpatients and outpatients ranging from adult to geriatric age
Requirements:
Must have 2 years’ experience in invasive vascular procedures
2 years of experience with a minimum of 1 year in area of related field
Graduate of an American Medical Association approved school for Radiologist Technologists
Must have current CRT license
Current CPR certification
Basic knowledge of EKG recognition and interpretation
Knowledge of film quality control standards
Ability to understand and practice aseptic technique
Complete annual safety training
Complete and maintain department specific training
Nice to have:
Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in healthcare industry
Ability to operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet
Ability to demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and make a positive impact on internal and external customers
Ability to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging including knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis
