Job Description

AK Teaching are looking to recruit a KS2 Intervention Teacher for one of our academies based in Sunderland. This role is full-time and is set to start in November 2025. As a KS2 Intervention Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in supporting pupils’ learning and development in Key Stage 2. You will work closely with individual students or small groups, delivering targeted interventions to address specific learning needs. Your expertise and dedication will be instrumental in identifying learning gaps, implementing effective strategies, and monitoring progress to ensure each student reaches their full potential.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting pupils’ learning and development in Key Stage 2
  • Working closely with individual students or small groups, delivering targeted interventions to address specific learning needs

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Proven experience in teaching KS2 students, with a strong understanding of the curriculum
  • Expertise in identifying learning needs and delivering tailored interventions
  • Ability to engage and motivate students, fostering a positive learning environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Enhanced DBS check (AK Teaching can assist with this if required)
