Job Description

Justteachers is seeking a dedicated Intervention Teacher to support pupils who require additional academic support across a primary or secondary setting. The successful candidate will work with small groups and individual learners to close attainment gaps and improve educational outcomes.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver targeted intervention programmes in English and/or Maths
  • Support pupils who require additional academic assistance
  • Monitor progress and adapt support strategies accordingly
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and SEND teams
  • Build students’ confidence, resilience and engagement
  • Track and report on intervention outcomes
  • Support preparation for assessments and examinations

Requirements

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have experience supporting pupils with varying learning needs
  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge
  • Be able to build positive relationships with students
  • Have strong assessment and progress-monitoring skills
  • Be committed to improving pupil outcomes
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service
