Job Description

An Interpreter facilitates communication between current students who are deaf/hard of hearing in all academic aspects of the university experience. Including but not limited to, classroom lectures, academic advising, field trips, and internships.

Job Responsibility

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • Two (2) years of directly related experience is required
  • Education or native like ASL skills may substitute for experience
  • Level III - National Interpreting Certification is required and must be a member in good standing
  • Full Interpreting License is required and must be maintained
  • Level II - Temporary Interpreting License is required and must be maintained
  • Must be actively working towards National Interpreting Certification
