During your internship, you become an active member of our commercial team and gain exposure to the world of hotel sales and business development. You’ll learn how we attract corporate clients, manage partnerships, support group business and position Holiday Inn Express Ghent as a preferred hotel choice in the market. You’ll receive real responsibilities, coaching and the opportunity to develop valuable skills in an international hotel environment. And on top of that, you’ll receive an internship compensation of €750 per month.
Job Responsibility
You support the Sales Manager with day-to-day activities, commercial follow-up and administrative coordination.
You assist in preparing proposals, contracts and sales presentations.
You help identify new business opportunities and support market research activities.
You work with sales systems and reporting tools to gain insight into commercial hotel operations.
You support the coordination of corporate stays and group requests.
You collaborate closely with Front Office, Reservations and the General Manager to deliver excellent guest experiences.
You monitor local market developments and contribute ideas to strengthen our commercial activities.
Requirements
You are curious, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
You are studying Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Communication or a related field.
You communicate fluently in English (Dutch and/or French are considered a plus).
You enjoy interacting with people and building relationships.
You work accurately and stay organised.
You are proactive and not afraid to take initiative.
You enjoy working in a fast-paced and international environment.
You have an interest in hospitality, sales and creating great guest experiences.
