Job Description

We are looking for creative and technically minded interns to join our Prototyping & Concepting team. This is an exciting opportunity for those with a passion for product design, rapid prototyping, and hardware innovation. In this role, you will assist and drive exploratory product concepts, improvements to existing designs, and in developing alternative solutions to hardware challenges.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist in concept development for product improvements and new features
  • Prototype and test alternative solutions to common hardware issues
  • Explore ways to optimize production efficiency and streamline manufacturing
  • Conduct hardware testing to evaluate performance and durability
  • Support with electronics work, including wiring, soldering, and basic circuit design
  • Collaborate with the team to design and build prototypes using various tools and materials
  • Present findings and demonstrations of project outcomes to the rest of the team

Requirements

  • Student, recent graduate or previous employee in engineering, product design, industrial design, or a related field
  • Technically minded, with a problem-solving and hands-on approach
  • Some experience with programming and electronics (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar)
  • Strong interest in hardware tinkering, product development, robotics, and hardware innovation
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A general interest in learning, developing, and testing new tools and technologies
  • High energy, curious, and explorative mindset
  • Experience, passion, and talent in a field critical to our success
  • A strong belief in your work and a desire to see robots improve quality of life in society
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Availability to work onsite at our office in Stockholm
  • Commitment to giving 100% to Furhat during your internship
  • Highly coachable and eager to learn
  • Must have EU citizenship or a valid Swedish work permit (eligible to work in Sweden without visa sponsorship)
