We are currently searching for an enthusiastic intern to study metabolic pathways in plasmid production, within the Advanced Therapies API Process Development department, part of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Leiden. This team consists of ~25 employees with background(s) in bioprocess design, biochemistry and molecular biology.
Job Responsibility
Get a deeper understanding of the interplay between bioreactor process conditions, formation of (by)products and product quality
Convert measured information into actionable insights that facilitate improved bioprocess development and outcomes
Develop predictive models in which (already available) spectra are coupled to analytes, with the goal to further develop a process analytical tool for real-time monitoring
Requirements
Master student in biotechnology, bioprocess development, biochemistry, or a similar study
Affinity with metabolic analysis for bioreactor cell cultivation
You are available for a minimum of 6 months and 40 hours per week
Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility to adapt to changing business and project needs
