Job Description

Internship within Life Support & Payloads for Space. Discover the world of Systems Engineering and manned spaceflight. Focus on scientific payload engineering for space within the department of “Life Support & Payloads”. Department builds Life Support Systems and Payloads in biology, medicine, physics and material science for space applications for customers ESA/DLR.

Job Responsibility

  • Accompany processes and be mentored by a member of the Chief Engineering Team to get an insight to human space flight business
  • Be assigned to the cutting-edge project CIMON (first free-flying crew assistant on-board the ISS)

Requirements

  • Enrolled full time student within the field of systems engineering, software engineering, aviation and aerospace engineering, mechatronic, physics, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering
  • Hands-on mentality and pro-active problem solving
  • CAD skills (e.g. Solid Works, CATIA, FreeCAD) are an asset
  • Software skills (e.g. C++, Python) are an asset
  • Very well organized and adaptable to different situations
  • Advanced in English (advanced in German is an asset)

Nice to have
