Job Description:

CPP summer internships are available for PhD and PharmD students in science-related programs such as Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Molecular or Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline. Students will have the opportunity to work with clinical pharmacologists and pharmacometricians and learn about CPP, including principles of pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), translational modeling, and principles of model-based drug development (MIDD) in a pharmaceutical R&D setting.

Job Responsibility:

Clinical Pharmacology and Medical literature review
Data analysis of PK, biomarker, preclinical and/or clinical data, trial design, etc.
PK and PD model-building and analyses
Development of computer programs or state-of-the-art quantitative methodologies (e.g., population PK/PD, quantitative systems pharmacology [QSP])
Model based meta-analysis (MBMA), advanced data visualization (e.g., RShiny), and machine learning applications integrating publicly reported and in-house data
Therapeutic areas of immunology, oncology, neuroscience, pulmonary hypertension, or cardiovascular and metabolic diseases

Requirements:

Enrolled in an accredited college/university
Pursuing a degree in a life sciences-related discipline such as Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Molecular or Computational biology, Biophysics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Medicine
Computational proficiency, including experience with data analysis, modeling, and simulation tools such as NONMEM, Phoenix WinNonlin, Monolix, R, Python, or MATLAB
Available to work full-time for at least 12 weeks from May – August
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team
Eligible to work in the EU at the time of, and for the duration of their employment
