Arno Ristorante is a new Tuscan fine-dining restaurant located in Ghent, situated within the ultra-modern Scala event center and the Courtyard by Marriott hotel. Our kitchen operates at a high gastronomic level with clear ambitions to grow toward a Michelin star. We are looking for a driven Kitchen Intern who wants to further develop within a fine-dining environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the chefs with daily mise-en-place and the preparation of refined dishes
  • Gain insight into how a gastronomic menu is composed based on Tuscan traditions
  • Learn to work with high-quality, seasonal products and refined techniques
  • Learn to work according to the highest standards of hygiene, discipline, organization, and presentation
  • Strive alongside your colleagues for a top-level culinary experience and smooth service during every shift

Requirements:

  • Currently following a culinary training program (secondary, higher, or adult education)
  • Looking for an internship for a minimum of 16 weeks
  • Motivated, have a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn every day in a high-end environment
  • Work methodically, accurately, and have a keen eye for detail
  • Team player who understands that clear communication and collaboration are essential
  • Open to receiving feedback and professional guidance
  • Can express yourself fluently in either Dutch or English
  • Willing to work a variable schedule (early, mid, or late shifts), including weekends
