Job Description:

Arno Ristorante is a new Tuscan fine-dining restaurant in Ghent, located in the ultra-modern Scala event center and Courtyard by Marriott hotel. Both the kitchen and service teams operate at a high gastronomic level, and the restaurant has clear ambitions to grow toward a Michelin star. For our front-of-house team, we are looking for a driven intern who wants to further develop within the service of a gastronomic restaurant.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting the reception and seating of guests
  • Working during lunch and dinner service
  • Assisting with the service of food and beverages
  • Gaining insight into service sequence, etiquette, and dining room organization
  • Learning to collaborate with both the kitchen and front-of-house to guarantee perfect service for the guests
  • Working according to clear agreements regarding presentation, timing, and guest experience
  • Striving together with the team for a correct and professional service

Requirements:

  • Following a program in hospitality, hotel management, or service and looking for an internship of at least 16 weeks
  • Motivated to learn in a gastronomic environment
  • Works accurately and in a structured manner
  • Team player and communicates clearly with colleagues
  • Open to guidance and feedback
  • Can work a variable schedule, including weekends
  • Speaks Dutch or English fluently
