Job Description:

The Digital Bureau Solution is the entity responsible for ICT operations within UNESCO. The team oversees the implementation of UNESCO’s digital strategy. DBS is seeking highly motivated individuals graduate/postgraduate students or recent graduates or postgraduates to assist DBS in its mission. Interns will be exposed to the work of UNESCO and will provide DBS with qualified and specialized assistance in the various projects of the Bureau.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in monitoring network performance and diagnosing connectivity issues
  • Gain hands-on experience with network device configuration
  • Gain experience with cloud platforms
  • Assist in planning migration to the cloud
  • Learn to troubleshoot network problems
  • Help update and maintain network documentation
  • Provide basic user support
  • Support the deployment, configuration, and testing of AI and GAI models
  • Create content for cybersecurity awareness workshops
  • Coordinate simulated phishing campaigns
  • Review and discuss company cybersecurity policies
  • Analyze and discuss vulnerability scanning reports
  • Assist in designing and coding web-based or cloud-based business applications
  • Collaborate on improving UI/UX
  • Prepare and support developing reports
  • Assist in data preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation
  • Create interactive data dashboards
  • Conduct testing, assist in debugging, and quality assurance
  • Help document application features, code, and development processes

Requirements:

  • At least 20 years old
  • Currently enrolled in the 3rd or final year of a Bachelor's degree OR currently enrolled in a second university degree (Master's or PhD) OR have finished a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree within the last 12 months
  • Excellent command, both written and spoken, of English or French
  • Excellent knowledge of computer systems and office-related software
  • Able to work well in a team and adapt to an international working environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to have:

A working knowledge of the other language (English or French)
