Job Description:

Internships with the UNESCO Culture Sector to promote culture and the creative economy and safeguard cultural and natural heritage. Internships can be undertaken in entities such as World Heritage, Living Heritage, Diversity of Cultural Expressions, Communication Cities and Events, Culture and Emergencies, Cultural Policies and Development, and the Executive Office.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Culture programmes and activities
  • Contribute to the preparation of documents, reports, work plans and communication content
  • Assist in conducting research, compiling data and carrying out analysis
  • Participate and assist with upcoming meetings, training workshops, events, webinars and conferences
  • Assist in building and maintaining working relationships with other Sectors/Entities, donors/partners, relevant national and international organizations
  • Contribute to any additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Unit/Entity

Requirements:

  • At least 20 years old
  • Currently enrolled in the 3rd or final year of a Bachelor's degree, OR currently enrolled in a second university degree (Master's, PhD, or equivalent), OR have completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree within the last 12 months
  • Excellent command, both written and spoken, of English or French
  • Excellent knowledge of computer systems and office-related software
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to an international working environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to have:

A working knowledge of the other language (English or French) is an asset
