Job Description:

Join the Corporate & Leveraged Finance department at Crédit Agricole CIB, a leader in advising, originating, structuring, and executing bank and institutional leveraged loans and high yield bond financings. Our team focuses on private equity-backed and corporate clients across various sectors, including TMT, with a strong presence globally. As an Intern, you will engage in significant work on new and live large-cap finance transactions and assist in managing our diverse portfolio. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in financial analysis, economic principles, and a keen interest in the financial markets.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct market analysis (business/sector/transactional/pricing comparables) and credit analysis of potential leveraged finance issuers
  • Assist in preparing marketing materials and pitches for private equity and corporate clients
  • Engage in financial modelling of transactions
  • Review confidentiality agreements in collaboration with the Legal team
  • Draft summaries of new business opportunities for conflict check purposes
  • Review Information Memoranda, business plans, due diligence, and term sheets
  • Handle KYC processes for new client onboarding
  • Enter data, update, and review Crédit Agricole monitoring tools
  • Monitor portfolio company trading developments, account analysis, and process waiver requests
  • Draft early-stage credit applications and assist senior staff with sections of full credit applications
  • Draft annual review papers
  • Provide assistance to senior management in all other business areas as required

Requirements:

  • Must have graduated within the past 18 months with a 2:1 or equivalent
  • Experience in Leveraged Finance and/or Debt Capital Markets (DCM) is desirable
  • Financial modelling skills
  • Awareness of the general business, financial, and economic environment
  • Proactive and a good team player
  • Comfortable with deadlines and working under pressure
  • Strong appetite for learning and hard work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility and a keen interest in financial markets
  • Excellent analytical, research, and modelling skills (Excel)
  • Credit analysis capabilities

Nice to have:

Experience in Leveraged Finance and/or Debt Capital Markets (DCM) is desirable
