Job Description

The Communication and Information Sector’s mission is to promote freedom of expression, media development and media literate societies, and to build knowledge societies through fostering universal access to information, innovation for sustainable development and the preservation of documentary heritage.

Job Responsibility

  • Participate in preparation and review of project documents
  • Draft notes and prepare technical annexes
  • Prepare conceptual framework / concept notes
  • Collect, organize and analyze data
  • Contribute to production/preparation of documents, working papers
  • Assist in development of technical support for new interventions or projects
  • Undertake specific research and reviews
  • Contribute to preparation of knowledge and communication products
  • Participate in meetings and seminars
  • Analyze and compile background data for partnerships
  • Liaise and build networks
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for meetings and events
  • Support preparation of budgets, financial documents

Requirements

  • At least 20 years old
  • Currently enrolled and on the 3rd year or final year of Bachelor's degree
  • OR currently enrolled in second university degree, Master's or PhD degree or equivalent
  • OR completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree no more than 12 months prior to issuance of Internship Agreement
  • Excellent command of English or French (written and spoken)
  • Excellent knowledge of computer systems and office-related software
  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to international working environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to have

Working knowledge of the other language (English or French)
