Job Description:

Join Our Team as an Attorney at Axiom. We are seeking an Import Counsel to join our International Trade and Regulatory team. In this role, you will provide legal guidance and support to clients on U.S. import laws, customs compliance, and tariff matters. This position offers the opportunity to work with high-profile clients, including technology, healthcare, and manufacturing companies, helping them navigate complex international trade regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating import-related contracts, agreements, and customs documentation
  • Providing legal guidance on import compliance, tariff mitigation, HTS classification, and country of origin determinations
  • Collaborating with internal teams and clients on cross-border transactions and trade compliance initiatives
  • Managing legal and regulatory issues related to U.S. import and customs compliance
  • Staying ahead of global trade regulations to provide proactive counsel

Requirements:

  • Proven experience advising on U.S. import regulations, HTS classification, and customs compliance
  • Strong knowledge of country-of-origin rules, tariffs, and trade regulations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent and licensed to practice law in an applicable jurisdiction

Nice to have:

  • Experience with technology, healthcare/pharma, or manufacturing industries
  • Familiarity with 232 and 301 trade measures
  • Experience working with large multinational clients (e.g., Meta, ADTI, Toyota, Mercedes)
