The tax team is a collaborative, high-impact group within Finance that partners closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and cross-functional leaders. As our International Tax Manager, you will play a key role in shaping Figma’s global tax strategy and compliance posture as we continue to scale internationally. This role will influence cross-border structuring, global expansion, and financial reporting, ensuring we grow thoughtfully and compliantly.
Job Responsibility:
Lead U.S. international tax planning and structuring initiatives, including M&A transactions, cross-border investments, expansion into new jurisdictions, and OECD Pillar Two readiness
Own U.S. international tax provision calculations under ASC 740, including GILTI, Subpart F, foreign tax credits, and related international components of quarterly and annual reporting
Lead U.S. international tax compliance and information reporting (e.g., Forms 5471, 8858, 8991–8993, 1118), partnering with external advisors to ensure accurate and timely filings
Be responsible for intercompany transactions and global transfer pricing policies to support compliance and operational efficiency
Monitor global tax legislative developments, model potential impacts, and communicate recommendations to finance leadership and cross-functional partners
Support tax-efficient repatriation strategies and other international tax planning initiatives
Serve as a technical resource for audits, special projects, and cross-functional tax matter
Requirements:
6+ years of U.S. international tax experience, including Big 4 and/or in-house experience at a multinational company
Demonstrated experience applying ASC 740 and U.S. international tax rules (e.g., GILTI, Subpart F, foreign tax credits, transfer pricing) in a multinational environment
Experience preparing or reviewing U.S. international information returns, including Forms 5471 and 8858
Experience preparing or reviewing international components of quarterly and annual tax provisions
Nice to have:
Experience with OECD Pillar Two modeling, readiness, or implementation
Experience in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth company
Public company experience
Master’s in Taxation, CPA license, JD, or LLM
