We have an exciting opportunity available for an International and Accommodation Student Support Officer to work within our busy International team across the Chichester College Group, predominantly being based at our Worthing College campus. Chichester College Group residential provision has been recognised as Outstanding by Ofsted Care Standards for the past 19 years and we are extremely proud of the high-quality accommodation and welfare provision we provide to our students. This role plays a key part in ensuring our international and accommodated students feel supported, safe and able to succeed during their time with us.
Job Responsibility:
Support students with day-to-day enquiries, welfare and wellbeing concerns
Work closely with Accommodation team, Pastoral Support Tutors and wider college team
Ensure students receive support they need
Work independently and take ownership of the role
Shape how you support students on a day-to-day basis
Travel to other campuses across the College Group
During summer months relocate to Chichester Campus to support international summer school
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a customer focused or student support environment
Strong communication and organisational skills
Comfortable using Microsoft Office
Able to manage a range of administration and pastoral responsibilities
Confident in managing own workload
Respond proactively to student needs
Liaising with staff, parents, agents and host providers
Highly motivated and approachable individual
Enjoys working with young people and building positive relationships
